I was handling a lawsuit on my own and it was hopeless. The other lawyer tried to dismiss the case. Attorney Steven Gleason agreed to represent me and he kept it going and got me money. I would not have gotten anything if it was not for Mr. Gleason. He was very patient and kind. After he got involved, the case ended fast and I am very happy with the outcome....

Every year, millions of people are injured by dog bites or other animal attacks.  In fact, the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) estimates that 4.5 million Americans are bitten by dogs each year, with one in five dog bites resulting in injuries that require medical attention.  Sadly, children are more likely to require medical attention than adults when bitten or attacked.

The Chicago dog bite attorneys at at Nilson, Stookal, Gleason & Caputo, Ltd., Ltd. are experienced personal injury attorneys that are familiar with the laws and legal issues involved with dog bites and animal attacks.  If you or a loved one has been injured in a dog bite or animal attack incident, contact one of our Chicago dog bite attorneys at (312) 443-1331 for a free consultation to learn more about a possible personal injury claim.

In Illinois two state laws primarily govern the law which may apply with respect to dog bites and animal attacks, which means that a dog owner can be held liable for any injuries suffered as a result of a dog bite or animal attack under almost any circumstances.  Pursuant to the Illinois Animal Control Act , the victim of the animal attack needs to only show that he or she was harmed by an unprovoked animal.  The law applies not only to animal attacks, but also to attempted attacks.  Victims of dog bites and other animal attacks can recover for past and future medical expenses, past and future pain and suffering, lost wages, physical disability and property damage.  The courts do allow the dog owner to raise defenses against these claims, so the victim is best served by being represented by the experienced trial attorneys such at Nilson, Stookal, Gleason & Caputo, Ltd.
